9 October 2017: Jaguar XF Sportbrake nabs ‘fastest towed ski’ record

The 2018 Jaguar XF Sportbrake was used as the tow vehicle as former British Olympic skier, Graham Bell, donned the skis.Guinness World Records was present as it recorded an average top speed of 189km/h, smashing the previous record by 76km/h.

7 October 2014: Porsche rules out entry-level 718

Porsche has ruled out building a four-cylinder entry-level convertible, dubbed the Porsche 718, based on the Boxster.

Famous last words, right? Okay, the company’s comments were more based around introducing a model below the Boxster with a stripped-out cabin and four-cylinder engines.
