Sprint Says It Will Spend Billions More on Network

Sprint Corp. said it would increase spending on its network, laying out its plan as a stand-alone company after talks to merge with T-Mobile US Inc. fell apart over the weekend.

Sprint, the fourth largest U.S. carrier by subscribers, said it would spend $5 billion to $6 billion annually on its network over the coming years, up from the $3.5 billion to $4 billion it projected for this fiscal year.
