Mercedes-AMG GT four-door interior snapped

Mercedes-AMG has gone to the trouble of releasing its own pre-production pictures, but there’s more to see when it comes to the AMG GT four-door coupe.

Our spy photographers have snagged pictures of the car’s interior during development testing, revealing a dashboard design borrowed from the CLS. That means a wide-screen infotainment system, four circular air vents and the latest Mercedes-AMG steering wheel.

Although the centre console is covered, we’d suggest the new MBUX controller is hidden beneath that black shielding.

As for the exterior? Well, the sloping roofline and broad hips are both reminiscent of those debuted on the AMG GT sedan concept, although it appears the rear lighting signature has changed slightly.

When it launches – likely in Geneva – the car will be powered by a version of the ubiquitous AMG 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, hooked up to a performance-oriented 4Matic+ all-wheel drive system.

A hybrid version of the car is almost certain to come, but there’s no word on when at this point.
