JEFFERSON – John Herman Reynolds, 87, entered into rest Tuesday, April 10, 2018.
Mr. Reynolds was born in Maysville, the son of the late James Arthur Reynolds and Ola Mae Davidson Reynolds. He attended The Jefferson Church, was a retired farmer and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Reynolds was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Lorena Johnston, Annie Grace Beatty and Ola Christine Reynolds; and brothers, James Ralph Reynolds, William Carl Reynolds and Louis Monroe Reynolds.
Survivors include a sister, Sarah Francis Hanson and her husband Harris of Jefferson, two brothers, Joseph Clarence Reynolds and his wife Barbara of Cornelia, and Wylie Eugene Reynolds and his wife Barbara of Jefferson; niece and caregiver, Mary Ann Barnwell, Jefferson, and a number of other nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Thursday, April 12, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, April 13, from the Pendergrass Baptist Church with the Reverend Clarence Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in the Pendergrass Baptist Church Cemetery. Gentlemen honored as pallbearers will be Joey Reynolds, Chad Robinson, Matt Allen, Mark Reynolds, Johnny Beatty and Mike Nabors.
