Annoyed you missed out on a McLaren P1 during the initial production run? Maybe you’ll be a bit luckier this time around. Jenson Button is selling his one, complete with a few cool options to match its racing pedigree.
With just 887km on the odometer, this particular P1 has barely seen the open road. Button said he’s selling it because he simply doesn’t get time to drive it, living in the USA and working abroad constantly. Ah, the tough life of a racing driver.
Its last trip was to Silverstone in August, with Button using the British hybrid hypercar as transport to a recent World Endurance Championship (WEC) race.
The exterior is finished in Grauschwartz Grey, offset by the Stealth Package and yellow brake calipers. The wheels are lightweight forged units, while the mirrors and mirror arms are made of carbon-fibre.
There’s black/grey trim with yellow contrast stitching inside, while options included the high-end sound system and front/rear parking sensors. Jenson also ticked the Track Mode 2 options box – an MSO package that allowed the powertrain to operate in its most aggressive setting, but kept the car at a road-legal ride height.
