The Good Design Awards – not to be confused with the Good Design Australia awards – were first established in 1950, and are among the oldest and most influential award programs globally. The annual event is held by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design, in cooperation with the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies.
For 2017, the competition saw the jury critique products and designs from 49 countries around the world.
